Opalno is a software company based in the Netherlands that develops mobile applications. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across all Opalno apps, including WAWE and any future applications.

2. What Data We Collect
Data Stored on Your Device
Our apps store data locally on your device to provide their core functionality. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to create an account or sync your data.
Analytics Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve our apps. This includes:
- Which screens you view and features you use
- App performance and crash reports
- Device type and operating system version
- Country (derived from IP address, which is not stored)
This data is pseudonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use our own analytics infrastructure hosted on Supabase (servers in the EU).
Advertising Data
Some of our free apps display advertisements through Google AdMob. When you consent to personalized advertising, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising identifiers
- IP address
- Device information
- Ad interaction data
You can choose to see non-personalized ads or withdraw consent at any time through the app's settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details on their data practices.
3. App-Specific Information
WAWE - Meal Planning App
Data stored locally on your device:
- Your meal plans and selected recipes
- Shopping lists
- App preferences and settings
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to create an account for syncing (future feature). Recipe content is included within the app and does not require an internet connection.
Advertising: WAWE displays ads through Google AdMob. You will be asked for consent before any personalized advertising data is collected.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), if you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing

6. Data Retention
- Local app data: Stored until you delete the app or clear its data
- Analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months, then automatically deleted
- Advertising data: Managed by Google according to their retention policies
7. Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@opalno.com and we will delete it.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Our analytics infrastructure is hosted in the EU
- We use industry-standard security practices
- Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through our apps or by posting a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
